Our support engagements are flat-rate — you know the cost of our analytical work and process before we begin, with one exception: testifying experts, once conflict-checked and engaged, may bill at an hourly or fixed rate.

- Loss of a maritime asset. We helped a law firm acting for the owners of a major asset destroyed by violent non-state actors in the Red Sea establish the nature, duration, and value of the external support reaching the responsible actor — assembling evidence from procurement records, financial trails, and local reporting in several languages, with experts to evaluate the authenticity and reliability of each document.Read the case study →
- Terrorism prosecutions and damages actions. We have worked for both the defense and the prosecution in U.S. Department of Justice criminal terrorism cases, and in damages actions arising from acts of terrorism linked to Libya, Iran, and other states and from commercial plant losses in Libya during the Arab Spring — so we know what an expert must establish to survive cross-examination, and what regional evidence, much of it in the original language, is required to establish it.
- Sovereignty and legitimate authority. We have served as lead expert on the determination of sovereignty and legitimate authority in internal and cross-border disputes in the region — matters that turn on the historical record, treaty text, and facts on the ground as much as on legal argument.
- Commercial disputes. We have supported commercial matters including banking disputes turning on customary practice, disagreements over the interpretation of fiduciary duty under Islamic law, construction failures, and damages arising from negligence.
