Methodology Partners
Proven, structured methodologies that integrate directly with our expert network and research technology — bringing adversarial analysis, strategic foresight, and impact measurement to every engagement.
Adversarial analysis and assumption testing. Founded by Colonel (Ret.) Steve Rotkoff, former director of the U.S. Army's Red Team University, and Whitney Hischier of UC Berkeley Haas. Rotkoff authored the Applied Critical Thinking Handbook — the industry standard for red teaming. The firm has facilitated red teams for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Special Operations Command.
Strategic foresight and scenario planning. Two decades of experience helping organizations plan under uncertainty using its Alternative Futures methodology. Clients include the U.S. Coast Guard, NASA, FEMA, and the U.S. Department of State. FSG's scenario work for the Coast Guard's Project Evergreen was featured as a case study in the Harvard Business Review.
Social and environmental impact measurement. Since 2001, SVT has helped corporations, institutional investors, foundations, and NGOs assess and manage their social return on investment. A co-founder of Social Value International's U.S. chapter, SVT brings rigorous impact accounting frameworks to development finance, infrastructure investment, and sustainability strategy.
