Dr. Romaric Jannel

Dr. Romaric Jannel is a philosopher who specializes in ethics, AI, and comparative philosophy. His research interests include trust, responsibility, agency, and the conceptual frameworks that shape social and technological systems. He is a Program Director at the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris and a Visiting Researcher at the Research Center for Intercultural Phenomenology at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. He teaches philosophy and ethics at the university level and has contributed to several books and academic journals. His recent publications address trustworthiness and trustability in AI, as well as environmental and disaster philosophy. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the École Pratique des Hautes Études–PSL University and has conducted advanced research, particularly in Japan at Kyoto University and Ritsumeikan University. He speaks English, Japanese, and French.
